Nice idea but no can do. The Barracuda's have a padded protective layer on the circut side to protect the drive from having things chipped off. The top side is the only way to go. and some of the top side does get hot so having a sink will probably help some. It may not be the best idea but it can't be worse than doing nothing so I'm going to give it a shot.
