| They use an adhesive with micronized silver as a filler. I think that in all likely hood the adhesive is not formulated to allow for the differences in expansion rate between the two metals. I'd just lap the two sufaces, apply AS3, and use four counter-sunk tappered-head machine screws to hold the baseplate on were I you.
