| Try this... take your entire computer and move it elsewhere in your home. That is, to another power plug. I had the same problem as you are describing and it turned out to be a power problem.
Also, try a different power supply. Something with more wattage, since you say that this problem dissapears when you change AGP cards from one that draws more power to one that draws much less.
