sounds like the unlock went bad. one of the bridges isn't joined properly. happened to me - 9 would give me 7 etc. if you can, check each bridge with a multimeter. might show you which one is bad, unless the bad contact is below the paint, but it's worth a shot. otherwise just re-do it and be real careful. clean the area thoroughly first with alcohol and an eraser.

it's a ball-ache, but it's gotta be done sometimes...
