| yep i installed service pack 1 straight after installing winxp .. but i noticed the 'enhanced usb root hub' was still 'driverless' (unknown devices) afterwards.. i'd left the winxp cd in the drive and i decided to do a 'search for driver update' pointing to the cdrom .. it somehow found it on there and installed it as a "Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller" with a fourth "USB Root Hub" added to the three that already existed
does any of this make sense?
so in other words, it all 'seems' to be installed now.. but it's weird that the driver was eventually installed from the original winxp disc? has it installed a standard 1.1 usb driver in place of it and now the usb 2.0 feature is tricked into thinking it's working?
