| After you install WinXP SP1, which is what contains the USB 2.0 drivers, you need to go into the Device Manager and right-click the device that has the question mark on it (I think it shows as PCI USB controller or maybe just PCI device) and then pick Update Driver. Then go through the wizard. It should automatically find and install the USB 2.0 driver that was included with SP1.
When you install a service pack, some drivers (such as USB 2.0) are not updated automatically. You have to manually update them in this manner to get them to work.
