Ok I have looked thru the manual.

This is from page 2-1

Main Memory

Three 184-pin DDR DIMM sockets for 64-bit, Unbuffered, Single/Double sided and Non EEC DDR-200/266/333/400 DIMMs

Suports 128-bit dual channel memory architeture
If you then go to page 3-6 and look at figure 6, and read table 1 along with the notes it is clear to me. The placement of the modules determines bit width. Don't let the SS/DS trip you up in table 1. It is short for single sided or double sided.
How come whenever I have a 50/50 chance I'm wrong 80% of the time?
