Ok. If you are willing, do the following:
Take some pictures of the area around your DIMM sockets (that is usually where the
Vdimm regulator is). I specifically need pictures of the voltage regulator circuit. If you don't know what that is, don't worry about it. Just get me pictures of everything within about 1" of the DIMM sockets and we'll go from there.
If we get lucky, we may be able to sus out how your
vreg works and get you something you can work with. Then again, maybe not. Only way to know is to try.
