If you mod the 3.3 rail to increase the voltage, you are going to be twiddling a LOT more than just your VDIMM. At least half the components on that board use the 3.3v rail (including the CPU, IIRC). ALL of them would be affected. Not to mention that modding the 3.3v rail could only be done on your PSU.

I think that's precisely what he meant. I've read of folks on various forums modding the voltages via the
PSU by increasing resistence on the sensing leads (IIRC). In any case, you're right. He'd have to be extra careful with the other components if he were to try it. I've also read of people actually adding capacitors to circuits and flattening out voltages. Would it be possible to add caps to the
VDimm Vreg circuit and stabilize voltages over 3v?
