guite amusing apparently it was a manufacturing error in the southbridges (ICH6) and they're all being recalled as somehow an insulation layer was missed off and so the chips produced excess current leakage, and run risk of flattening the cmos battery.

I wonder if thats why all the mobo makers have put heatsinks on them as sb's dont usually run that hot.
It covers all the newchipsets i believe the 915* and 925*. and i was just thinking how quick they'd got them into stores as well d'oh
