That's nice, but I'd feel better if the modem->router->client/server setup would work for you

Seems that when wingate gets to opening the modem under this setup the port is already open and/or it just won't dial. The modem works fine connected to either of the machines but not through the router... we had the router set to either "dynamic" IP or Dialup with the same results. We've removed any firewalls for the time being but that didn't help either...
any other ideas? the last hurdle was a simple oversight, so I am going to assume the worse and figure the same here
