| Yes it was rather toasty at times last year, with several locations breaking the 100F barrier.
The south coast is usually a few C cooler than the max temperature there is usually a sea breaze from the south which takes the edge off the temperature.
Warmest is usually abit further inland and towards the london area especially heathrow airport. That is affected by all the jets passing by artificially raising the temperature a little
