| Viewing angle with a TFT can be as good as a CRT. My Samsung provides almost all-round view with only slight colour distortions. The response time isn't great, but I've never noticed ghosting. Playing Doom 3 on it was fine - you're right about the darkness thing - I guess because the screen is less reflective, you can play darker games in the light.
