| Bootloaders live in one place - the boot sector. Commands such as FixMBR or FDISK/MBR should be able to overwrite the existing bootsector.
Failing that, there are some utilities that can wipe the first 128 sectors of the disk to ensure that it looks like a brand new pristine disk.
