There should be a connector on the back of the card, just like the connectors that you have on your hard drives. You can plug one of the connectors from your power supply into this connector on your card to solve your problem. If you don't have a connector on your card for this purpose, then you are SOL.

My GF4 MX-440 gets about the same score as your 5900XT, so there is definitely something wrong there.
