What's a reasonable temp for a laptop HD?

I was running Spinrite on my laptop because I got a random reboot and it said that I didn't have a bootable drive. Anyway, Spinrite reads from SMART and tells me that the drive is 60C and warns me that anything above 55C is too high. I get the feeling that Spinrite is being too conservative. Does anyone know what acceptable operating temp for a laptop HD is? I presume it has to be more temperature tolerant than a desktop.
