true, the 2500M woulden't be responsible for the death or your m'board.
it won't, wouldn't and couldn't even post on that 'board. the kt266a will
work with Palamino core Athlon only. AXP2100 max. I have eight 266a's
and not enough Pali's to go around. i have tried T'breds in 1 or 2 of them
and it doexn't work. put the Pali in and no problem. haven't killed any of
the 266a mb with a 333 cpu. I must add this, the KM266 PRO chipset
is a 333mHz board that will handle the 333fsb cpu's.

something else has caused the demise of your motherboard.
