I HAD an Epox 8KHA+, (approx. 1 year old) that developed two bulging/leaking caps and started having stability problems. Turns out those boards were built using faulty/bootleg capacitors. I intend to change out those caps when I get replacements (and have time) as I liked the board and what it would do.
You very well could have other damage caused by the cap failure. Considering the price of newer mobos, I would be looking to replace the 8KHA+ (that's what I did...a Shuttle AN35N).
If you get an nForce2 mobo (like the NF7 or ASUS or DFI) you have a little more room to play with that TBred since the PCI/AGP lock keeps you from corrupting the HDD/GPU.
Good Luck
