| don't muck with them unless you know what your doing, they aren't to do with performance they are for the signal sent to the monitor and allow you more control over resolution and refresh rates, you can damage a monitor by running it incorrectly
you shouldn't damage a card overclocking it though.
By the way how come you decided on a 5200 over a geforce 4?
