| the first 90nm chip was the 3200+, then the 3000+, then the 3500+. the 3500+ is still about 40% 90nm 60% 130nm by the sounds but the 3200 and 3000 are all 90nm only. even with good ram its an issue. 300fsb isnt that easy to get unless you have a good/lucky board. if you are stuck below 300, you have problems. People that have done serious mobo modding have had winchesters running speeds far in excess of 3Ghz using extreme cooling but you can only push your fsb so far. as someone who has sworn at one of these chips for an extended period of time i can say the extra money for extra multis is worth it. as long as its not too much
