I remember reading on the front of a top UK PC mag about 3-4 terraherz RAM becoming available for the year 2005, that was announced in 2000. What's happened there?

The man who invented it says it'll cost just £50 to make and it will be half the size of a credit card. It says a lot about todays prices.
