I have a couple of SCA adaptors bought for an experiment with SCSI drives a few years ago. TBH, I wouldn't buy SCSI drives that need an adaptor again. Yes, they are less expensive. However, they are made for use in a five bay rack with the hot swap feature. Personally, I hot swap nothing!

The SCA adaptors have a bad reputation for falling off of the drives and mine were $16 each, if I remember right. I suggest using tie-wraps aka cable ties or another "permanent" method to help keep the adaptors in place.
When the world will be better.
