Hard Drive

I still get this, and it's becoming more and more freqeunt.
The Pc switches on, then when I'm using it the computer makes the same beeps it makes when it switches off, and keeps doing it, then resets itself. The HDD activity light flashes with these beeps.
Then, when I switch it back on, it says:
SYSTEM BOOT DISK FAILURE: CMOS CHECKSUM ERROR

Then the System Bios refuses to detect the existence of my HDD. I then open it up, un-plug and then re-plug the HDD and 7/10 times this makes it work again.

Is the HDD losing power? Is the HDD duff? Or is there something wrong with the chispet, i.e it isn't communicating properly with the HDD.

Please help me. I'm worried I could lose everything. I really need to fix this!
Thank you AOA! If somebody helps me fix this, let's just say I'll get them a round.
