Is it possible that if a pipeline quad works but at a lower speed than stock I could try increasing the core voltage to give it a hand to run higher than stock speeds?
Also is there a way to see what voltage the memory/core are getting through windows?
This card has 2.0ns samsung memory so it should be rated at 1ghz, it runs at 1ghz fine but I cant get more than a 5% overclock(from max rated spec, not stock) this seems a bit low.
The thermal pads on the card sucked bad they looked like squares of white cloth(actual fabric), I remove these and used some as5 to make the contact between gpu and heatspreader and this has lowered temps by a degree or two.
I would love to get some more speed or the extra quad from this card as it is a fast as my old card was already but with more/faster memory and I reckon it would rock at 16pp/6vp (currently 12pp/6vp).
Any ideas or suggestions?
BTW the core is an NV40 |
