PCI Latency is a setting that allows you to set how long a device on the PCI bus can hold onto it without letting another device use it.

It's basically designed for busmastering devices. If a busmastering device has been using the PCI bus continiously for the length of time set in the PCI Latency setting, it's forced off the PCI bus to allow other devices to communicate across the PCI bus.

Useful for tuning up the PCI bus, but not useful for overclocking.

Any views, thoughts and opinions are entirely my own. They don't necessarily represent those of my employer (BlackBerry).
