The hardware is there, ready, but not in retail numbers yet. The cost of ram currently for Vista-planned videocards is quite high still, and a slight deterent, as are yeilds on that ram.

Still, the hardware can be there in the space of 3 months, on the shelves. The software, however...

the transition should take 2 years before Vista is adopted as the norm, and companies have to be prepared for this. Most are, that i have seen, besides software.

I base my hardware claims by what's on the shelves now, and what's needed....in order to clear out old stock, hardware vendors need some time. In this way, they are not ready.
