Looks like it could go either way.

On the good side - as gizmo said, He is probably more knowledgable than the programmers about windows, and we could benefit from that experience. Windows could become a more robust and secure operating system. With more intergrated tools for administrators.

On the bad side, he could keep doing what he is doing, while his free tools become paid for, and his pay tools get even more expensive.

I have mixed feelings about this, and I personally don't think much will change with MS's OS, but their may be a greater range of admin tools that actually work intergrated within windows, and many more avaliable for seperate purchase.
