I don't think so. People have really only in the last few years gotten used to PC's as the everyday medium that it is. I'm not convinced their willing to chuck that out the window.
My family didn't get a Pc until 2000, and most people I know didn't get one until then or afterwards. PC's were beforehand thought as school/office items.
I do not think people are that annoyed about Windows. Most people I speak to (and I recently asked a group of uni friends this) say they don't like the idea of a different OS, when Windows does all they need it to. They tend to, whether it be truth or ignorance, blame viruses etc on the people who write them rather than the software they exploit.
I don't think this will happen. I just don't.
