| Seems to depend on how the volume was created in the first place - as its listed as a system disk it should be OK.
For some reason file copying from the CD seems more critical at install time - suggest you clean the CD or try copying its contents to the HD so you can install from there.
With HDD prices low at the moment it might be worth considering a backup drive....
