| windows mobile development problems I don't know if there are any Windows Mobile 5 devs here, but if there are, I could use a hand.
I'm currently trying to write a program for my mobile device (O2 XDA Orbit) that connects to a website. It will do more eventually, but I can't even get past this. As far as I can see, my code is correct. Unfortunately, I don't have a network connection on the computer I'm developing on, and when I use the emulator to run the program, it always just gives a could not connect to network error (unsurprisingly). When I connect my mobile to the computer to debug it on the actual hardware, activesync disables all the network connections on the device, so it too has the same problem. When I just copy the program across to run, it get further, connects to gprs, but then throws another exception. And since I'm on the mobile device, the exception has no associated error string.
Is there a way to stop activesync disabling the network connections on the device? Or a way to get the emulator to use my mobile's gprs as an internet connection?
Any help much appreciated
