I have been looking at it also, but I think that it is unfortunately just too underpowered for my uses, since my college work is also coding and debugging and whatnot, as well as the usual assignment writing.
I think it does make sense if you are just going to take notes with it, although the screen is quite small. I'm not sure how much of a performance hog dreamweaver is though.
I think it might actually be worth spending the little extra and getting a "fuly fledged" laptop, if you can live with the size penalty you do get a lot more performance and storage for your cash. However, if you want a cheap ultra portable then the Eee should be the machine for you
