| I did a test and built one of the BTX computers without the video card.
I've got an Intel 3.0 Ghz Dual Core CPU, 2 Gig DDR2 667 RAM, Western Digital 120 Gig hard-drive and Sony DVD Rom all powered by the original Aopen BTX 250 watt power supply. It works fine with Fedora 8 and the onboard video.
I'm still debating how I'm going to have the power for a GeForce 8600 GT.
I'm still eyeing the Thermaltake 5.25 power supply but its getting pricey with the RAM & Video card purchase. But what other choice do I have?
The GeForce 8600GT requires at least a 300 watt power supply. |
