| I honestly cannot understand why on earth they would put WinXP on these machines...the only reason windows is big here is because it's got the market. In an undeveloped region, there is no reason I can think of to use a proprietary OS.
Besides money, of course. As said, M$ isn't stupid. They know that if they get 100's of thousands of children growing up with their OS, when their country is developed they're going to use Windows.
Sad....I should've donated sooner. My paypal account was giving me nightmares, and I guess I just didn't care enough to get it sorted out. I feel like an ass, now. I missed my opportunity to make a difference, and I'm sure as hell not going to finance M$'s infiltration into the developing market.
