| It's too early to tell on the 45nm parts just how much voltage they will take, that being said I haven't seen and Core2 CPU's die from 1.8 or less with good cooling in place.
If you can afford to replace the CPU, by all means push it for everything it has.. I have hit C2D's with 1.75v and it still lives a happy life in someone else's rig
