New SFFT 1.0 Driver
After 59 pre-releases it's time of new SFFT 1.0 driver. This software is based on Unified Architecture supporting by one package all Voodoo3 family, including Voodoo3 2000, Voodoo3 3000 and Voodoo3 3500 cards, as well as all 3dfx VSA-100 products and so Voodoo4 4500, Voodoo5 5500 and Voodoo5 6000 cards. It is designed and developed to work with both Windows 2000/XP (32 bit) and Windows XP Professional x64 Edition (64 bit) Microsoft Operative Systems.
Unified Architecture Driver
This driver is part of a our new project that aims to get 3dfx working with some x64 OSes and some x64 hardware systems. If will be possible to catch up this target reducing hardware compatibility issues, we'll use same Unified Architecture driver for all Voodoo3/4/5 graphics controllers.
Join to Public Testing and Give Us your feedback
This driver is posted for public download. Please consider we need your feedback about both its stability and performance responses on many hardware and software configurations to do bug fixing and release improving. So download this alpha using one among following links and try it with your favourite games. Then give us your feedback writing a report to this forum topic (only free registration is required) and specifying your main hardware components, like mainboard,
cpu(s), system
RAM memory, and OS(es).
SFFT Driver Installation
This package contains an installer named Setup.exe: by a double click on it you can open a wizard that will walk you through updating software. However if can't use the installer then you must install the driver manually by "Update Driver" table in "Device Manager", then click on the "Video Card" icon and select the "Driver Update" tab using the SfftVer1.0 folder as the drivers source.
SFFT Driver Configuration
If you want to customize the SFFT driver configuration, you can test new SFFT Tools: this is SFFT driver's native control panel available in two packages for both 32-bit and 64-bit systems.
Besides, if you have problems with SFFT Tools, you can grab this archive with Set3Tile and Set4Tile Utilities. Those small applications change the memory layout reported by the card: 3 Tile mode allows more memory for textures but disables use of a triple buffer while 4 Tile mode is the default. Some games only work in 3 Tile mode, and some only work in 4 Tile mode.
However, you can use classic 3dfx Tools as well as a 3dfx hardware tweaker (as VControl) to get optimal SFFT Driver configuration..
You could get more info reading SFFT Driver official topic: besides, your feedback is useful giving us help to developing so you could post your report in SFFT official topic at 3dfxzone.it international forums or at forumzone.it.
What's New?

However this release includes following updated files:

Thanks to...
From 3dfxzone.it arrives a lot of thanks to both our skilled programmers - in this case a great applause goes to SFFT for his unbroken and very useful effort - and all public and private beta testers: you are helping us to exceed time limits of 3dfx Voodoo cards.
Thank you.
