Its your motherboard holding you back, and as Muff1n stated, you hit a choke point.

VIA chips overclock about as well as a brick. You will be exceeding its max bandwith in several areas, causing errors it is able to recover from - hence the lower score. You are lucky in not getting BSOD's.

Sorry to say - if you are wanting to overclock - you will need a new MB
