| Random access times is where SSD has always really scored well though - changing the page of memory you have open vs moving a head physically, and it's easy to see which is faster.
Interestingly, these still aren't as fast at sequential transfer rates as their mechanical cousins. They are getting there though, although I'm still waiting for the cost to come down...
