I agree with you. They probably are just a wee bit contrived, infact I guarantee they are!
And I have to much to risk on a PSU I know has a bad rep.
Do you care to know how i know that the dice are loaded for these tests?
Tell you anyway.
If a restaurant is serving bad food, the street knows it right now and that place has no customers.
If a company builds PSU's in such a shoddy manner that they blow up at the first sign of stress, everyone would know in a matter of days if not weeks. They couldn't use them for land fill.
And I'm not buying one.
I've got a 350w that has handled an OC'ed xp 2400+ , 2HDD's, 4 to 5 USB devices, vid card of cource. It has done a remarkable job. It's not going in to OC the E4300.
