I don't know of a simple way to do what you want. Usually, an application is written to intercept power management events and react accordingly. 8rdavcore is not written that way. In theory, an application could be written that could intercept the event and then launch 8rdavcore, but I've not had any luck finding something like that (and I don't have the time right now to write one myself).
