Gotta wonder if that's the kernel on it's own, or kernel plus device drivers...

The latest Who Writes Linux (August 2009) indicates there's 11.5 million lines of code in the 2.6.30 kernel. The same kernel had 12993 lines of code added per day, and 4958 lines removed per day...
