| I still think there is something wrong with your SMP setup on the quad core. While linux smp is faster than windows it is only 5 - 6%, so there is problem somewhere.
My quad will pull 3 minute segments and while the AMD isn't quite there it should be knocking them out in 10 minutes or less.
Can you put -smp 4 in at the command line and see if that changes anything?
