| Perhaps the HDDs's jumpers may do the trick. I'd imagine that jumpering the 40 Gb drive as Primary Master, and removing the IDE and Power connectors from the 6 Gb temporarily may do the trick. Then reintroduce the 6 Gb HDD into your system.
