I didn't realise that SLI 6800 Ultras existed, I've only seen GT's.

The board you are wanting has not come out yet.
You will need a NF4. and there are a few that are going to hit the market in about 3 weeks.

The Asus A8N-SLi is due out early December.

SLI 6800 Ultra's have not yet entered production. AFAIK, only reference boards exist right now.

It would be pointless to have anything other than a big screen with SLI. You will only see the benefits at higher resolutions like 1600 x 1200 and above.

its gotta be either the iiyama vision master pro 454 or 514 depending on if you have a big enough space for a 19" or 22" crt you could have a tft as your 2nd screen but nothing beats the image quality of those 2 crt's

4GB would be a bad idea unless you really need that much ram, which I doubt. Like a gig of really fast ram would be your best idea. If you can voltmod your board or get an OCZ ddr booster, get yourself some BH-5s, in the form of mushkin black level 2 pc3500 theres some on ebay right now actually for 250ish...which oddly isn't too bad. Getting 3.6V to BH-5s maybe your best bet for some serious speed.

4gb is a waste, there is nothing you will do unless you often run big databases for a business or do artwork for billboards that will need 4 gigabytes. 2 Gigabytes maybe but even this is overkill. That amount of ram is moer likely to lower performance slightly than improve it at all as you aren't likely to get the best timings and clock if your using that amount.
get either 1gb or 2 if your feeling flash for now and then maybe in a year or so if you even still have this system (I'm guessing from the amount being spent on it you aren't likely to) upgrade when programs might start using that amount and the price will have come down as well.

4x1GB sticks will overclock like a dead camel.

If possible, get 4x256.

Chillblast have OCZ ram on offer atm. Check it out.

2X 74gb western digital raptors for speed
2X maxtor plus 10 300gb Sata's for storage
a SONY 16x48 INT IDE DVD DRIVE and an LG DL 16x DVD+-R/RW/RAM IDE Burner or an NEC 3500 DL burner if you don't want DVD-RAM support

I'd also recomend a Creative Labs Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro, no sense in having all that gear and sticking with onbaord sound
