I believe they are clean install only |
| ||||
..... that is so damn annoying. Do they say what fixes/features are included in the update that make it worth redownloading the thing?

What are the road blocks now for you 64 bit Windows guys; I ran it for several week, but that was 1st release, prior to any upgrades, what will I still have to give up?

I only have one single, annoying problem. I have a logitech MOMO Raceing force feed back steering wheel that does not have any drivers, nor any intentions of working under x64. So i have to play NFSU with a keyboard. and that sucks. ![]() Sound drivers are good, although creative's soundblaster drivers are only for Audigy, Audigy2, Audigy 4, and Live 24 bit, not audigy 2 NX or audigy LS. Creatives drivers also time out every 2 months at which time they must be replaced or they cease to function (or you can turn your system clock back). This is to encourage updates it think but its also the reason why the sound blaster drivers were removed from the files section, simply because old drivers will not work. Chipset Drivers are good, video drivers are excelent, sound drivers are OK, support is fine. Never had one crash or failure on x64 yet. One of the cool things is alot of funny activeX controls (spyware installers) are unable to work with internet explorer 64 bit which i found rather funny, as its the most secure IE has ever been and it happened by accident. ![]()

yea i use fire fox on it. HL2 is perfect as is CSS. for much improved performance use the 70.80 Nvidia x64 drivers from AOAfiles ^^ they are the same as the 71.24s
