yes there designed to run both, infact your better off with 32bit, xp x64 edition was the biggest white elephant MS could have developed, so little support or programs to make use of the potential, guess there all waiting for vista now

Its a common myth, the Athlon 64 isnt a 64bit chip, its a 32bit chip with x86-64 extensions which allow it to addresses more memory. Not alot else its not as if going to 64bit will double performance as they originally promised

Of course it runs OK without any problems QSDT.
My SanDiego 3700+ is the third 939 processor which is running under Windows XP SP2 (32 bit version).
Also an A64 3200+ (754 socket) run OK.
Don't worry.

Well it's going now, but boy did it give me some problems! When installing windows at the end I would get a blue screen of death saying PCI.SYS error. So then I tried all sorts of things, turning off PCI slots, putting in PCI video card, etc for hours it was like . So when I get to work I started googling it found one place that said try installing XP with at least SP1 or SP2 in it. It worked first go anybody else had this problem?

I have had it on a few motherboards.

COmpared to when XP first came out (2002), things have changed considerably, much of the initial XP HCL and generic drivers just dont work anymore. Especially in regards to USB2, dual core, and NF4 chipsets.
