Lionfish,

AMD is striving for a transition to .13micron in early Q1. These should be the really hot overclocking ticket. You could go to a Palomino before then, but your system is pretty fast as is, so why rush?

I'm not going to be suprised if the MPs transitions to .13 a month or two before the XPs. Much like we saw the MP debute in the Palomino core long before we saw a desktop CPU utilizing the same core. Servers have more to benefit as far as reduced power requirements, than desktops have to benefit from scalability. Not to mention that .13micron cores will probably be in too short of supply, when AMD begins the transition, for an all out conversion.

We will probably be seeing the next exciting round of motherboards by that time, maybe even some new chipsets.

In short: don't ask us what to buy two months from now right now, ask us when your just about ready to purchase. This market is growing and changing so fast that you just have to buy whats good when you need to buy, and not worry too much about whats coming in the future. I feel that we are at a point in technological growth, that a serious PC enthusiast needs to upgrade on a quarterly bases. Anything less, and you have no hope of staying up to date even in the slightest way.

Ohhhh, my bad . . . . I like Sparkle myself. I'm using a Sparkle350 thats been slightly tweaked. Antec are nice from what I'm told. I hear mixed things about Enermax, and enough of the bad to make me weary about ever buying one.

For the most part, as long as it's AMD approved, is a name brand part, and has like 200W or more of combined power(more is never a bad thing), it should be fine.
