and its running VERY cool
1610mhz 1.85 volts 33celsius according to MBM 5..........
im gonna say +10celsius for safety. i gonna give myself a cut off point of 40 indicated, so at worst it will be low 50's i guess yeh?

nice random!!

i'm curious about your multimedia scores though. my tbird 1.2ghz at 1480 (148*10) gets higher scores... not sure exactly what, but plus 10k on the bottom one.

thats because i was running 133mhz FSB at that speed! your FSB i guess was making it faster, god knows how tho! i am having problems at the moment!! seems it doesnt enjoy going much faster than 1610 so i will leave it there. seems 100% stable at the mo.

think the temp sensor is mis reading...

other than temp what would make it die at that speed?

A lot of 1800+'s don't like much more than 1600MHz - ish , it's not un-normal. I had to swap and change from one to another (also known as blowing them up) before I got this AGKGA I'm making beat out the 2.064GHz real clock speed in my house.

Just do the hack! You NEED more voltage! These low current CPUs really really like the extra voltage, and don't get much hotter because of it.

In reality, I've found the in socket thermistor reading to be a bit conservative with my board, temperatures read a degree or two higher than actual(determined via the AMD drilled thermistor cavity method) under MBM5 with my board. It is possible that your CPU is that cool considering the low voltage you are using. In any case, I don't worry about CPU temps as long as the system is stable. Motherboards don't offer CPU temperature reading to help you keep the CPU in a safe temperature zone. That ability is implemented to allow you to measure gains in cooling, and too help you trouble shoot in cases of instability. In socket thermistors are more than sufficient for those tasks, that is why most motherboards to not offer the ability to read internal diodes.

No wire is needed for the Vcore hack.

Just trim one end of the resistor up so there is about 2cm of the resistors wire left. Solder this end to pin 2(pin one is the one in the corner with the dot, pin 2 right next to that one). Bend the other end of the resistor down to the ground ring in the corner of the board. You don't have to solder the other end to the ground ring, you can hold it down with the screw, but I chose to solder mine to the ring.

Easiest VccCore hack I've seen to date . . . .

ok im at limit without a Vhack i think.......... 1.7GHz and stable! 1.85 volts (actual is 1.9) gonna try for 150 FSB..... it may work it may not! no harm in trying i guess

Assuming your PSU is up to snuff, 150 is in the bag, your probably good for at least 156 . . . .

Edit: Just noticed you have two sticks of memory, so maybe you won't do too much over 150 . . .
