OMG somebody who is happy in the Epox topic, how can this be ? ?

Very nice overclock on air with quite low Vcore whatever.
Expensive chip but its clocking like a champ.
Have you dared to try for more yet ?

46 second suerPI is very impressive.

Thanks there was always hope. Have you ever used "Permatex  Defogger Repair" ? It comes with a "activator" but the instruction sheet dosent say anything about it. I couldn't find "Lock tite" brand (which I used last time), it didn't have a "activator".

thankX Holst..

indeed.. expensive chip.. and it does run like a champ~

well 193mhz FSB is pretty much topped out in termz of FSB/AGP/PCI... az you can see my AGP and PCIs are at extreme speeds and beyond 193, it starts to struggle.... 193 iz the sweetest spot with my KR7A sys..

With a Vcore mod and I need switch back to higher multi's in order to do higher mhz clocking.. yes.. with 1.85V and with higher multi, it should do 2.5- 2.55 Ghz

according to the other guy, this chip can do 2.7 Ghz@ 1.95V w/ Pelt(226watt) + watercooling, so this chip has potential... very highly oc'able..

Will this work on a 2100XP with the L1's connected? It would sure be nice to post a solution for everyone who does not want to apply a dremel to their processor.
If nobody knows, could someone try it?

my 3dmark score isn't done yet~ that score was just within 2 hours last nite.. with incomplete tweaking and settings..

anywayz, back to your question, yes you'll have to close all L1 bridges. and switch the L10 bridge. That will enable you to get lower multi's from default.

If you don't want cutting and stuff, if I were you, I would try closing all L1 bridges and use the U-pin mod to get the smaller multipliers so you can avoid cutting the L10 bridge. I haven't done this particular method on my XP2100+ but it should work. This iz at your own risk!... you can do this. . OR, if you want to play safe, switch the L10.

I think the 2100XP has a default of 13x too.
But since it's not unlocked, you have to close all L1's first.. Then, you have to close the last L3 as well. This will give you all multipliers 12.5 and lower. You can skip the L3 part if you have a KT400 mobo (I think).

You maybe right... or wrong.

Some people did try that L3 method on the AXP2100+ and didn't work..

The L3 method is often done for the T-bred XPs.. I can't say for sure if the L3 method works on the AXP2100+. I know that the AXP2100+'s unlocking method is indeed different than all other regular 2000+ and below processors.

I did the closing L1s and switch the L10 on my AXP2100+, which gave access to smaller multipliers below 13.

yes, the 2100XP has default 13x.

No AIUGB 1700's have been made, and I don't think they ever will be made. According to spec's on amd's pages, they will be releasing AIUGB (or some other t-bred b stepping) 1800+ processors, but I have'nt heard of one being released yet. The stepping that the 1700's and 1800's have had, is misleadingly AIUGA, and they don't clock as well as these B stepping ones.

tha's rite... correct statements...

They don't make Tbred XP1700 in B class.. starts at 1800+ like what dropadrop said.

Yesssss...... I did the Vcore mod on my Tea bread... it's now jumped from 1.775V to 1.85V cooling is ready, voltage is ready, all i gotta do is find a way to make this Tea bread to work with my Kr7a @ 13X and higher multipliers with full control. As soon as this taken care of, i should be jacking up mhz and do 2550mhz@ 1.85V estimated...

One thing I noticed that vendors do here in finland, is they mark "xp1700+ 0.13 B", and they mean it's boxed. This seems to confuse alot of people into thinking they are buying a Tbred-b...
