This is a touchy subject will all web sites which produce original copy. Their copy is their livelihood. Last time someone did this, that I know of there was a huge blow up and the site was sued and e-mails went out all over the net shunning the site in question. It's clear to me that you meant no harm. But that won't prevent you from being crucified!!

My advice to you is that you should take it down. Contact the site you got it from and ask their permission to publish it.

The usual course is to simply put up a link to the review. So they most likely will say no, but you never know.

I have seen a post from a EPoX Tech where he say´s this:
Taiwan HQ tells me the PCI is clocked at 33Mhz no matter the CPU bus.

Now, that´s good enough for me.
I also have been able to run 236 fsb without ANY data corruption at all.
That´s also good enough for me.

Enough said

Here is the link to the thread Caper is reffering to:

http://www.amdforums.com/showthread....1&pagenumber=3

And I do apologize if posting that link is in violation of this rule:

4. No user may advertise any product or service on this system. Unsolicited references to content not owned by aoaforums.com or one of its allies are prohibited.

I don't know if this is really advertising or not, since I'm just directing you to a place where you can see on 2 seperate occasions that Epox Tech said there was a PCI lock. If I am violating the above rule, please PM me and let me know, and an admin can delete my post. I'm new to posting here, and don't know what the actual interpretations of the rules are.

Thx.

Question

So much political bull**** over such a simple question !!! Why ???

I have a question for the EPoX BIOS programmers :-

Will you ever release a BIOS for the 8K9A2+ that supports either a PCI 33MHz lock, or a 1/6 PCI divider at FSB speeds above 166MHz ?

A simple YES/NO answer will suffice.

Thank you.

I can tell you that they cant do it because its no suport in the Via chipset for it.

Guess for that you have to wait for the 400 A from Via.

Yup, it is a simple question. They Tech's just aren't allowed to answer it. It's covered under NDA's with their employers and no one should expect them to risk losing their jobs over it.
