Which is the better overclocker?

Hi i'm going to buy a new cpu to go with an Epox 8rda+, OCZ 2x256 3500EL Duel Channel, 9700 pro, and all will be watercooled. I'm looking for the highest possible speeds for gaming and benchmarking.

oh and price is not an issue. I'm actually leaning towards the higher stock clockspeed but think I read somewhere that they would all overclock the same.

The 1st dew bartons will not really reach the true potential of the chip. I'd try one of the tbreds personally, as to which one? thats another question

Research the good steppings and aim to get a 2600 333 in that stepping, if that aint possible then move up to the 2700 and the extra cost, and if that aint possible then and only then get the 2800.

By using this method i have an xp1800 capable of xp2100 speeds at default volatge (aroia stepping but a palimino core )

heres my take on which is better,as not many people have these yet due to amd's premuim pricing.

these chips are found in the aiugb, aiuhb flavours for all 3 chips.i dont think one oc's better than the other.id almost say they all are the same chip.just differant name tags.reason i say this every 2600,2700 ive seen all oc about exactly the same.i havent seen no 2800 results much tho.

but when you do 2551 mhz on air and all three chips can and should most likley hit this id save money and get the lower speeds.

steppings you want
aiugb, aiuhb this also applys to the 2400 too.it isnt getting as high on air about 100mhz less but still, put it on h20 its right up thier with the big dogs.

i'm gonna get a high end water cooler and should have it soon. I might even get the new OCZ 3700 EL ram now too. I see what your saying, but would rather have the highest stock speed I can to work with. I've pretty much ruled out the 2600+, and living in Canada I don't really have the option of hand picking steppings.

ok I've made some different decsions. I'm going with corsair xms3500 ca2 2x256 ram, and was wondering if you think it was a better idea to get a 2100+ tbred b instead of 2800+, and wait till the barton 400fsb's come out if they do? If not maybe just upgrade again in like 3 months when the prices have come down. I can always just pass this chip down to my other system.

You might want to look at mushkin before you invest in the corsair. I have both corsair and mushkin ram and I would like to say that the mushkin is a much better company much higher quality but that is just me.

damn dog is that computer with the mushkin in it? I have a 1600+ with corsair 3200 that did 176fsb in a crappy gigabyte board. Anyways I decided against corsair just too damn expencive, and went with OCZ 3500EL duel channel. And on cpu choice which is the thread topic, I think i'm going to go with the 2100+ tbred B and get a barton down the line when they have 400fsb.

A Tbred B 2100+ would be the best o/c:er right now.. some have reached as high as 2.5 GHz with those..
